Job Description:
Nobu Restaurant and Hotel in downtown Toronto is currently seeking dynamic and customer-oriented individuals to join our team as Doorman/Security in both full-time and part-time capacities. As a Doorman/Security, you will play a vital role in providing a warm welcome to our guests while ensuring the safety and security of our premises.

Location: 35 Mercer Street

Compensation: Between $28.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Extend a warm and welcoming greeting to arriving guests, ensuring their initial encounter is memorable and sets a positive tone for their dining experience.
• Serve as a bridge between patrons and front of house personnel, promptly addressing any concerns that may arise to guarantee swift resolution and guest contentment.
• Offer assistance wherever feasible, contributing to various tasks that emerge during shifts to facilitate seamless operations across the restaurant.
• Vigilantly oversee entrances and exits, verifying that only authorized individuals enter the premises for enhanced security measures.
• Uphold a consistently professional appearance and demeanor, embodying the esteemed standards of hospitality upheld by Nobu.

Qualifications:

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Must be able to work till 1 am.
• Experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, exercising sound judgment in challenging situations.
• Clean appearance
• Physically fit and able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
